Sesti Brunello di Montalcino 2020 & Phenomena 2019

We were devastated to hear of the passing of our friend and founder Giuigi Sesti last September. He was one of life’s true characters, an incredible man who was held in the highest regard across the region. With the reins now in the hands of daughter Elisa, who has been instrumental in the winemaking in recent years, we expect few changes at this beautiful estate. Sesti’s Brunello has won many fans over the years, and it is certainly one of the most rewarding that you will find anywhere in Montalcino. The stunning backdrop of the Monte Amiata provides excellent protection to the estate with Mediterranean breezes adding cool ventilation. Traditionally made in every sense, the elevage take place in large Slavonian ‘botte’, producing a style that is always characteristically inviting straight out of the blocks, but with plenty of potential to age. We know that Sesti’s 2020 will delight all who taste it.
