  • Goedhuis, December 2011

A stony vineyard that gives much minerality to its wines, En Remilly's 2010 is the laciest of theColin's St Aubin blancs with a beautifully poised and lifted palate, offering notes of linden, limezest and succulent peach. This finishes on tangy yet subtle sea salt.

  • Burghound, June 2012, Score: 89

A restrained, elegant and airy nose does have a trace of reduction though it is sufficiently in the background as to be almost not worthy of note. Otherwise the aromas are classic En Remilly with plenty of citrus, white flower and stone scents that precede the energetic, detailed and mineral-inflected flavors that possess fine focus on the solidly complex and persistent finish. This is really quite pretty. Drink: 2015+.

  • Jancis Robinson, January 2012, Score: 16+

ery cool and refreshing though without quite the richness and tension combo of Pierre-Yves'example. Very sound. Much more precise than many more expensive wines from more famous villages. GV Drink 2012-2016

Their strict principles of using only natural yeast, having a slow, cool fermentation and little ‘débourbage' (draining the juice fromits sediment) contributes to their pure, fresh flavours and impeccable balance. The domaine is now run by brothers Pierre-Yves, Damien and Joseph who took over from their semi-retired father several years back. The "changing of the guard" has had little effect on the wines. The only notable difference is less stirring of the lees in order to retain the wines' mineral undertones. And as aresult, they are as delicious and sincere as ever.Read less

Region

Saint Aubin

Due west of Puligny and Chassagne lies the little, picturesque village of St. Aubin. With the neighbouring village of Gamay, it produces 2/3 white wine and 1/3 red wine over 230 hectares of vines of which over 3/4 are premier cru. It was one of the last appellations created in only 1970 but has since created an excellent reputation for good value well made Burgundy that can replicatePuligny. Some of the most expressive vineyards are En Remilly and Les Murgers des Dents de Chien.
