  • RETAIL prices include UK Duty and VAT. Wines for UK delivery can only be purchased this way.

  • Duty Paid wines have been removed from Bond and cannot subsequently be returned to Bond.  VAT is payable on Duty Paid wines. These wines must remain Duty Paid but can be purchased as such for storage subject to VAT.

    The 2013 Bonnes-Mares Grand Cru, from the Chambolle side, has a beautiful bouquet that is pure and sensual: black cherry and red plum, hints of blueberry emerging with aeration. The palate is sleek and silky on the entry with very good depth of fruit, a little sharpness originating from the citric acidity and a dash of spice on the finish. This will need 5 to 7 years in bottle before broaching with a waiter's friend. Drink 2019-2034

    A subtle application of wood sets off the layered and appealing aromas of plum, cassis, red currant liqueur and plenty of floral nuances. There is really lovely detail to the intense big-bodied flavors that possess that highly attractive sense of underlying tension that continues onto the stony and palate coating finish thanks to the abundant amounts of dry extract. This is very much built for the long-term and with the larger format bottle this is going to require patience. Note that my suggested drinking window takes into account the magnum format. Drink 2032+

    (from white soil on the Chambolle side of the cru, notes Leroux): Good dark red. Blackberry, licorice and wild spices on the nose. Then sappy, saline and youthfully imploded on the palate, showing less fleshiness than the Clos de la Roche but a strong mineral character to the blackberry and licorice flavors. This very tight, stony, vibrant wine will need long aging for its complex soil tones to emerge. Drink 2027-2042
