  • Goedhuis, December 2016

Always the most composed wine in the Audoin stable, this a real favourite of mine. Stunningly pure Pinot Noir characteristics, almost in the New Zealand Pinot vein. Poised and vibrant, with sweet loganberry flavours on the finish. This is gorgeous.

  • Burghound, January 2017, Score: 90-92

This is almost always one of Audoin's best wines and so it is again in 2015 with its subtly oaked nose of fresh and layered black raspberry, violet and cassis aromas. The rich, full-bodied and mouth coating flavors possess plenty of dry extract that pushes the firm tannic spine to the background on the focused, powerful and dusty finale. This is good stuff though note that it will need at least 4 to 5 years of bottle age first. Outstanding. Top Value. Drink 2023+

Region

Marsannay

The most northerly appellation of the Cote d'Or, Marsannay is also the only appellation authorised to produce red, white and rose wine. Only created in 1987, this is an interesting area where quality is improving. Top producers include Bruno Clair, Meo-Camuzet and Denis Mortet.
