Goedhuis, November 2018
This parcel was bought in 2009, and over the past decade Méo-Camuzet have curated a powerful, persuasive wine from this site. The 2017 is an intense, brilliant red. It has a minty lift on the nose that sings along with the juicy berry fruits. The palate has a good amount of stuffing, with some gutsy red fruit, and a sweet grip from tannins and bright acidity.

Neal Martin, January 2019, Score: 92-94
The 2017 Corton-Perrières Grand Cru has quite a punchy nose, one that wants to be noticed, offering copious dark cherry, wild strawberry and bergamot aromas and becoming ever more floral with aeration. The medium-bodied palate is quite sweet, featuring a touch of fig confit on the entry and candied orange peel lacing the vibrant red fruit. The 10% stem addition lends a little spice on the finish. This is perhaps more expressive than previous vintages I have encountered at this stage in the past. 2022 - 2040
Region
Corton
The Grands Crus of Corton, a red made from Pinot Noir, and Corton Charlemagne, a white made from Chardonnay are shared between Aloxe-Corton, Ladoix Serrigny and Pernand Vergelesses. The vines for both are planted on the hillsides underneath the plateau of Corton's woodland forest. The majorityof Pinot Noir is planted in the southern and eastern sector where the soil is naturally rich with red iron clay giving additional body and power. Overall, the wines from these areas tend to be fruit forward and fleshy with a balance of round edges and fine concentration.
