    The Wehlener Sonnenuhr vineyard is one of Loosen’s most prized – as a fully south-facing site, this was the natural location for a sundial (sonnenuhr) erected in the 1840s. Vines grown here are bathed in year-round sunlight, meaning they unerringly achieve full ripeness. The 2022 Wehlener Sonnenuhr is richly expressive on the nose; notes of confit lemon, fuzzy peach and dried mango combine with an undertone of warm wet stone in a quintessentially ‘Mosel’ expression of Riesling. The palate is densely concentrated and marked by a terrific drive and verve. Whistle clean acidity ensures a bright, long and satisfying finish.
