2022 Chorey lès Beaune La Pièce du Chapitre Tollot-Beaut
£156.00 In Bond £206.44 Inc VAT (£34.40 Per Bottle)-
Goedhuis, December 2023
This is a monopole vineyard owned by the Tollot family in the north of the appellation. Pure Pinot fruit at its very best. The poor soils that make up this vineyard create a beautifully dynamic wine, with vivid fresh tayberry and strawberry characters. There is a layer of vanilla oak and spice which envelop the fruit, giving warmth and charm.

The 2022 Chorey-lès-Beaune Pièce du Chapitre has a more complex, finessed bouquet than the Village, a mixture of red and black fruit, pressed violets and orange zest. The palate is medium-bodied with fine-grain tannins. Mainly black fruit here, very cohesive with a silky finish that is very seductive. What a lovely Chorey-lès-Beaune. Drinking Window: 2025-2032.

2022 Savigny lès Beaune 1er Cru Champ Chevrey Tollot-Beaut
£225.00 In Bond £289.24 Inc VAT (£48.20 Per Bottle)-
Goedhuis, December 2023
A 1.5-hectare monopole sitting within Aux Fournaux next to Lavieres. This cuvée was absolutely singing when tasting from barrel. A melody of sweet autumnal fruit characters, sloe and damson at the forefront. The deep soils produce a wine with a weighty structure and the tannins possess controlled power.

The 2022 Savigny-lès-Beaune Les Champs Chevreys 1er Cru, matured in 30% new oak, offers pure red cherries and cranberry fruit on the nose, perhaps more sensual in a way compared to the Les Gravières, with a little more Pinoté. The palate is medium-bodied with crunchy red fruit, cranberry and wild strawberry mixed with orange sorbet, vivacious and refined on the finish. Excellent. Drinking Window: 2025-2037.

2022 Aloxe Corton 1er Cru Les Vercots Tollot-Beaut
£300.00 In Bond £379.24 Inc VAT (£63.20 Per Bottle)-
Goedhuis, December 2023
At the domaine they consider this wine as coming from two relatively young parcels of vines, but in fact today they are 20 years old. This is a fine Premier Cru facing southwest towards Pernand Vergelesses and Savigny lès Beaune. Dark cocoa, liquorice and coriander, a very full and generous style for an Aloxe, with appealing zest and freshness on this finish.

The 2022 Aloxe-Corton Les Vercots 1er Cru has good presence on the nose, a richer take on the vintage, blueberry and cassis fruit developing in the glass. The palate is sweet and candied with high-pitched black cherry fruit. It may miss a little delineation on the finish. Fine. Drinking Window: 2024-2030.

2022 Corton Bressandes Grand Cru Tollot-Beaut
£520.00 In Bond £643.24 Inc VAT (£107.20 Per Bottle)-
Goedhuis, December 2023
The most giving and eye catching of all the Grand Cru’s on the hill of Corton. This is a beautiful cuvée. A miscalleny of berry fruits, loganberry, billberry and damson fool. A gracious richness, with a delicious volume, full deep, with appealing spicy undertones. The tannins are present but in a rounded way giving breadth and superb persistence.

The 2022 Corton-Bressandes Grand Cru has quite a backward, earthy nose with more black fruit and touches of graphite and cigar box. The palate is medium-bodied with a sapid entry, gentle grip, and fine tension with an impressive backbone on the finish whilst maintaining refinement. With ample length and salinity, this should grow into a fine Corton-Bressandes after being frosted 2021. Drinking Window: 2027-2045.
