BUYING WINE EN PRIMEUR

Buying En Primeur refers to the process of buying wine before it is bottled and released to the market. Doing so gives you the first bite at some of the world's most prestigious wines, in perfect condition, varied formats and competitive pricing. Each year we run three major En Primeur campaigns: Burgundy in January, Bordeaux in May through July, and Rhone in October and November. Click below to view the most recent campaign.

WHY BUY EN PRIMEUR?

PROVENANCE

This is typically the most cost-effective way of laying down a cellar, and a purchase at this early stage guarantees provenance.

CONSISTENCY

When you eventually either drink or sell the wine you can be confident that it has not spent its life circumnavigating the globe, but remained in one place.

BOTTLE FORMAT

It is also the only chance to choose the bottling format: since the wine is still in barrel you can select bottling in halves, magnums, double magnums and imperials. (A small further charge will apply for these non-standard options.)

Exclusivity

For those wines made in small quantities, this may simply be the only opportunity to buy.

PERSONAL SERVICE

You can choose wine for future drinking or for investment or both. We have a knowledgeable sales team who will recommend what to buy.

NO MANAGEMENT FEES

At Goedhuis & Co., there are no management fees, so all your money goes towards buying great wine.
