Members of the GWC are invited to our quarterly Wine Safaris, exploring the differing styles of the world’s most exciting wine regions in a quick-fire, fun format that will keep your palate on its toes. WINE STORAGE
One of the biggest hurdles any avid wine collector must leap over in pursuit of vinous bliss is storage.
Unless you’re lucky enough to have your own cellar at home, tucking cases under beds, behind sofas and out of reach of curious housemates presents a challenge not only in space, but also leaves your collection subject to the vagaries of central heating, vibrations and home lighting conditions; hardly the environment to let your fledgling cellar thrive.

These limestone cellars, originally excavated to provide stone for building the nearby city of Bath, have seen millions of pounds of investment in the past century to make them the perfect environment for securely storing wine: humidity, temperature and light are all tightly controlled to ensure your wines remain in perfect condition.
As a bonded warehouse, storing wines in Octavian also means you can purchase at In Bond pricing, only paying Duty and VAT costs on delivery of your wine, and allowing you to sell your wine more advantageously on the secondary market should you wish.
