GOEDHUIS WADDESDON MODERN SLAVERY STATEMENT

This statement is made in pursuance of Section 54(1) of the Modern Slavery Act 2015

ABOUT OUR BUSINESS

Goedhuis Waddesdon Ltd is a fine wine merchant based in the United Kingdom. We source, import, store and sell fine wines to private clients, trade customers and businesses. Our supply chains include wine producers and estates, importers and distributors, logistics and warehousing providers, and suppliers of the goods and services that support our operations, both in the United Kingdom and overseas.

This statement relates to the financial year ending March 2027.

DEFINITIONS

Goedhuis Waddesdon Ltd considers that modern slavery encompasses:

•  human trafficking
• forced work, through mental or physical threat
• being owned or controlled by an employer through mental or physical abuse or the threat of abuse
• being dehumanised, treated as a commodity or being bought or sold as property
• being physically constrained or having restrictions placed on freedom of movement.

COMMITMENT

Goedhuis Waddesdon Ltd is committed to ensuring that we minimise the risk of modern slavery for the Company and our supply chains.

OUR SUPPLY CHAINS AND DUE DILIGENCE

We expect the same high standards from all our contractors, suppliers and other business partners. As part of our contracting processes, we are working towards including specific prohibitions against the use of forced, compulsory or trafficked labour, and against holding any person in slavery or servitude, whether adults or children, and we expect our suppliers to hold their own suppliers to the same standards.

We recognise that the risk of modern slavery is low within our own office-based operations but is higher in parts of our supply chain that rely on seasonal and manual labour. In wine production, this includes vineyard and harvest work, which in some regions depends on migrant and seasonal workers. In the United Kingdom, we consider warehousing, logistics, cleaning, and any use of agency or temporary labour to carry a higher inherent risk. If we become aware of any concerns relating to modern slavery in these higher-risk areas, we will engage with the suppliers involved and take appropriate action. As at the date of this statement, we are not aware of any reported incidents of modern slavery within our business or supply chains.

We support the principles of ethical trade and are committed to adhering to the Ethical Trading Initiative (ETI) Base Code, an internationally recognised code of labour practice founded on the conventions of the International Labour Organisation. STAFF WELLBEING

Goedhuis Waddesdon Ltd checks that staff can demonstrate their eligibility to work in the UK before commencing any work.

Goedhuis Waddesdon Ltd has a clear framework of rules and behaviours and encourages the reporting of any concerns or breaches so that they can be dealt with appropriately in accordance with our policies and procedures.

We are committed to keeping all our people safe from harm and abuse, including anyone who comes into contact with Goedhuis Waddesdon Ltd. We encourage and refer all staff to raise concerns confidentially, if they wish, in line with the Whistleblowing policy. There are a number of charities including The Modern Slavery Helpline, the Salvation Army, and Victim Support who can provide confidential advice about modern slavery and human trafficking.

TRAINING AND AWARENESS

We provide our staff with information and training appropriate to their role, so that they understand the risks of modern slavery and human trafficking in our business and supply chains, can recognise potential warning signs, and know how to raise concerns.
