Bordeaux, arguably the greatest red wine producing region in the world, is home to the classic communes of St Estephe, Pauillac, St Julien and Margaux on the Left Bank, St Emilion and Pomerol on the Right Bank, while the Graves lies immediately to the south of the city of Bordeaux. It also offers excellent value everyday drinking wines, often from the less famous appellations, such as regular favourites Ch Maine Gazin and Ch Montaiguillon Montagne St Emilion. The celebrated châteaux's second wines also star on this list: Segla, Croix de Certan and Reserve de Leoville Barton.
