SEPTEMBER 2022 | "Goedhuis nailed it". We are over the moon to share some fantastic results from the 2022 Decanter Retailer Awards. We have been awarded:

• Best Specialist Retailer Burgundy
• Best Specialist Retailer Bordeaux
• Best En Primeur Campaign
• Best En Primeur Campaign (Runner Up)

We were also shortlisted for Best Specialist Retailer Italy. These awards are testament to the brilliance of the domaines and chateaux we are fortunate enough to work with, the dedication of our wonderful team who bring their wines to our customers, and the loyalty and enthusiasm that our brilliant clients share with us for these wines. The whole team cannot thank you all enough.

Of all fine wine producing regions Burgundy and Bordeaux remain the most captivating and the most sought-after. At Goedhuis Waddesdon we are committed to providing our clients with an unparalleled range of wines from both the most respected, established Chateaux and Domaines in these regions and also up-and-coming relatively unheard of producers.

For our specialist Burgundy and Bordeaux lists we represent all major appellations across a range of quality levels at different price points. In Burgundy we work with over 50 different producers and we pride ourselves on selecting as broad a range as possible, from small, upcoming estates under the helm of the new generation such as Vincent Charton in Mercurey, Benjamin Leroux in Beaune and Cyril Audoin in Marsannay through to the great established names such as Domaines Ponsot, Comte Armand, Sylvain Cathiard and Jean-Philippe Fichet, from whom we purchase directly as a selected distributor in the UK. In Bordeaux we have close relationships with many major chateaux and negociants to ensure everything from Bordeaux AC to First Growths are well-represented.

In both 2014 and 2015 Goedhuis Waddesdon, then operating as Goedhuis & Co, was included in the London Stock Exchange’s “1000 Companies to Inspire Britain”, an annual celebration of some of the fastest-growing and most dynamic small and medium-sized enterprises in the UK. We were also selected for Fine Wine section of The Spear’s 500; Spear’s new essential guide, launched in 2014, to the top private client service providers for high net worth individuals and their families. It is the first comprehensive guide across all these private client fields in the world and inclusion is a recognition of the exceptional level of personal service we aim to deliver to our clients.
