There is currently great excitement and dynamism in the Spanish wine industry with some incredibly committed wine-makers investing heavily in vineyard and winery to produce world-class wines most notably in Rioja and Ribera del Duero. Portugal's Douro Valley is home to the great fortified wines of Porto, with historic names such as Taylors and Fonseca producing exceptional Ports for generations.
