Goedhuis, April 2014, Score: 89-91
A similar blend to his Eglise-Clinet (90% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Franc), Denis Durantou has produced a sweet and refined wine, with striking aromas of damsons and sloes. Beautifully concentrated with subtle caramelised fruits flavours. Very balanced and will give huge pleasure.

Neal Martin, April 2015, Score: 89-91
The Château Les Cruzelles 2014 is a blend of 90% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Franc picked from 24 to 29 September and 17 to 21 October and aged in 50% new oak. The nose is ripe and generous with wild strawberry and dark plum aromas, the oak nicely integrated. The palate is medium-bodied with supple and fine tannin. It is not a complex Lalande-de-Pomerol but is (as usual) extremely well balanced with a fine degree of tension and finesse on the broody finish. Give this a couple of years in bottle and it should give several years of pleasure, probably more.

Decanter, April 2015, Score: 87
Rich , full and plush with cherry and blueberry notes. Oak evident but bubbles with fruit as well. Tannins polished. Touch of alcohol but balanced by freshness. Drink: 2018-2025

Matthew Jukes, May 2015, Score: 17+
(90 Merlot, 10 Cabernet Franc) | 50% new oak. There is a lovely core of briary, dense, chocolaty fruit here with lovely freshness, but no unwanted harshness or tannins because they are perfectly in harmony with the whole. This is a very well-judged wine with much more elegance and potential than expected.

Wine Spectator, March 2015, Score: 88-91
Raspberry and cherry coulis flavors form the core, with hints of spice and tea along the edges. Subtle length.
Region
Lalande de Pomerol
Lalande de Pomerol is situated to the north-west of the Dordogne River north of Pomerol. Similar to the great Pomerol appellation the wines are Merlot dominated but sold at a fraction of the price. Some great value wines can be found to the south of the Lalande de Pomerol region as only the Barbanne River separates the two appellations.
