Goedhuis, January 2019
This family treasure was passed down from father to son recently, and only one precious barrel is made. This grand cru soars high. It has power, but such elegance, and feels light on its feet despite its intensity. Graceful.

Neal Martin, August 2021, Score: 93
The 2017 Chevalier-Montrachet Grand Cru has a clean, precise bouquet, perhaps a little more floral than its peers; hints of mango and lemon thyme emerge with time. The palate is well balanced, taut and fresh, delivering fine delineation and a bracing, spicy finish. There is an appealing crescendo to this Chevalier-Montrachet, and just the right amount of bitterness on the aftertaste. Tasted blind at the annual Burgfest tasting in Savigny-lès-Beaune. Stephen Tanzer, September 2018, Score: 92-94
Sexy peach flesh sweetness on the nose, with complicating notes of flowers and sexy minerality. Wonderfully silky, plush, edge-free grand cru with very ripe stone fruit, orange zest and pineapple flavors to the fore today. A generous wine with lovely mounting length. Dominated by its ripe fruit today but there's nothing extreme about this wine. This parcel was actually harvested on September 1, before the rest of Colin's vineyards, at 13.1% potential alcohol.
Region
Chevalier Montrachet
Chevalier-Montrachet is a tiny Grand Cru appellation for white wine situated on the stony slopes just above Le Montrachet towards the southern end of the Cote d'Or. The wines are exceptional, if slightly lighter in style than their neighbour down the hill.
