Goedhuis Waddesdon, December 2025
Denis bottled this wine just before the 2025 harvest and?the?100% vinification in stainless steel tanks?brings out a striking energy and brightness,?making it so classically Chablis.?Floral aromatics, with a touch of lime zest and?honeysuckle blossom. An easy?flowing style and deliciously fresh.

All made in tank as there was enough wine to fill one, but not more. Mid lemon colour, with an attractive grapey style. This is one of the 2024s that shows a touch of sauvignon character on the palate. Overall lighter than usual. A sharp finish but not trenchant. Drink from 2026-2028. 3 stars.

2024 Chablis 1er Cru Troesmes Denis Pommier
£155.00 In Bond £207.49 Inc VAT (£34.58 Per Bottle)-
Goedhuis Waddesdon, December 2025
Côte de Troësmes is a climat within the larger Beauroy Premier Cru on the left bank of the river. Its white marl soils have a reputation for producing supple wines with a floral character. Vinified and raised 100% in large barrels this year due to the size of the harvest, this a very textured wine, with a creamy volume and flavours of Pink Lady apple and lemon posset. The finish is fine, racy and mouthwatering.
2024 Chablis 1er Cru Côte de Léchet Denis Pommier
£160.00 In Bond £192.00 Inc VAT (£32.00 Per Bottle)-
Goedhuis Waddesdon, December 2025
From a 1-hectare plot of 60-year-old vines, this is a flagship?cuvée?for the domaine. These older vines found the climatic conditions particularly challenging?and produced miniscule amounts of wine; just?200 cases in total!??But what is in the glass is gorgeous!?Denis?uses a?cautious amount of oak during the élevage to allow the vineyard’s natural finesse to shine through.?With flavours of?mandarin and?jasmine?scent, it is beautifully graceful with a fresh rewarding saline finish. Fine class.

The Pommier wines are in the hailed part of Côte de Léchet, at the northern end. Mid lemon yellow. Quite attractive, with some punch on the second half of the palate, a little acidity to finish. Not hugely concentrated but well balanced. Drink from 2027-2029. 3 stars.
