ABOUT
The Crémant de Bordeaux AOC was officially established in 1990 and uses typical Bordeaux grape varieties in the traditional method of producing sparkling wines. Grapes are harvested manually and are aged in Celene’s cellars which are old underground quarries, dug in the 18th century into the limestone rock of the right bank of the Garonne. The stone extracted from these quarries was transported by ship and has been used to create buildings and monuments in the city of Bordeaux. Celene’s natural cellars ensure a constant temperature of 13°C and provide the ideal conditions and environment for the development of aromas and persistent fine bubble characterised by Crémants.
