Burghound, January 2015, Score: 92-95
Tasting note: Interestingly this is not quite as ripe as the Chapelle though it is notably spicier with its expressive nose of menthol, various red berries and earth. There is excellent intensity, punch and minerality to the large-scaled flavors that possess markedly better depth, particularly on the explosively long and beautifully well-balanced finale. This is wonderfully rich yet there is a certain reserve and a firm tannic spine that suggest that this should age effortlessly. Dont Miss

Stephen Tanzer, March 2016, Score: 95
Medium red. Exotic candied raspberry, game, rose petal and crushed stone on the come-hither nose. Delivers outstanding clarity of flavor without any hard edges, with the red berry and mineral flavors lifted by a floral topnote. Wonderfully refined and alive in the middle palate. Finishes with noble tannins and outstanding building vibrant length. A prime example of an impeccably balanced 2013 that's not a fleshpot. Drink 2024-2036

Chambertin Clos de Bèze
Gevrey-Chambertin has more Grand Crus than any other appellation in Burgundy. Unusually wines from Clos de Beze may simply call themselves Chambertin, which is an indicator of the quality of these vineyards. One of the most complete of all the Grand Crus, rivalling the revered Romanee-Conti, Chambertin-Clos de Bèze wines are the pinnacle of Pinot Noir - fragrant, powerfully complex and intense.
