Goedhuis, November 2018
This is one of Domaine de l’Arlot’s later additions, purchased in the early 1990s. Whole bunch has been reduced from 100% in 2016 right down to 20% in 2017, and the wine has a delicious concentration of cherry fruit, with savoury drive and supple texture. It has a defined and elegant finish.

Neal Martin, September 2021, Score: 92
The 2017 Vosne-Romanée Les Suchots 1er Cru shows some stem addition on the well-defined nose, just a slight leafiness developing with aeration. The palate is medium-bodied with a fleshy entry and nicely judged acidity. This is certainly one of the more sensual Vosne-Romanées, though it maybe it has dispensed with some of the charm on the finish that it displayed in barrel. Tasted blind at the Burgfest 2017 tasting. Neal Martin, January 2019, Score: 92-94
The 2017 Vosne-Romanée Les Suchots 1er Cru, matured in 45% new oak, has a pure bouquet of black cherries, raspberry and crushed strawberry, nicely focused and quite sensual in style. The palate is medium-bodied with slightly chalky tannin, rather masculine in style for a Les Suchots but very tensile toward the mineral-driven, quite voluminous finish. There is just 17% whole bunches here. 2021 - 2040

Burghound, January 2019, Score: 90-92
There is just enough reduction to shave the top notes from the softly oaky nose of floral, spice and dark raspberry. There is good richness and volume to the velvet-textured medium-bodied flavors that are surprisingly robust on the mildly tangy if solidly lingering finish. This is presently somewhat awkward but I suspect that it will ultimately come together. Drink 2027+
Region
Vosne Romanée
The vineyards of the modest village of Vosne Romanée are arguably the most sought after in the Côte d'Or. It is host to excellent Village and Premier Cru wines, but it is its most famous Grand Crusthat truly stand out: Romanée-Conti, La Tâche, Richebourg, Grands Echézeaux, Echézeaux, Romanée St. Vivant and La Romanée as well as Cros Parentoux, a Premier Cru vineyard which attracts Grand Cru attention (and prices). Vosne-Romanée can be remarkably robust and powerful, yet be charming and fleshy giving it one of the most diverse styles of the region.
