  • RETAIL prices include UK Duty and VAT. Wines for UK delivery can only be purchased this way.

  • Duty Paid wines have been removed from Bond and cannot subsequently be returned to Bond.  VAT is payable on Duty Paid wines. These wines must remain Duty Paid but can be purchased as such for storage subject to VAT.

  • En Primeur wines can only be purchased In Bond. On arrival in the UK these wines can either be stored In Bond in Private Reserves or another bonded warehouse or delivered directly to you. When you decide to take delivery, Duty and VAT at the prevailing rate become payable.

    Aromas of hazelnut, orange peel and acacia blossom introduce rich, concentrated and caressing medium-bodied flavors that possess a highly seductive texture while displaying excellent length on the balanced, firm and utterly delicious finale. This could use better depth though so at least a few years of keeping are recommended. Worth considering.

    Pale lemon colour. Not much nose in these small glasses. There is good tension here on the palate, a crisp lemon note along with some fresh apples. Not immediately intense but with good length. A little touch of the positive youthful bitters. Drink from 2026-2030.

    The warm, south-easterly facing slopes from which this wine is sourced contribute to a wonderfully showy example of Meursault. Quintessential in style, this is creamy and buttery, with a silky richness and gentle freshness. Hedonistic, but not too excess. A little beauty.

He makes wonderfully textbook wines, which for us are the most perfect reflection of the wines of Meursault. Meursault

Meursault is the first great white wine area that one stumbles upon on leaving Beaune. Unlike other white dominated appellations in Burgundy, Meursault has no grand cru vineyards. It nonetheless has significant flair and power which make up for this deficiency. Indeed, if tasted blind some of these wines could even surpass other Burgundian grand crus. They are no fainting daisies. This may partially be due to Meursault's lower water table which enables the roots to delve deep in the soil picking up many trace minerals and which further stresses the vines. In addition, the cellars are more profound and cooler, enabling long fermentations, which increase complexity and longevity. Some interesting red wines are also made.
