The delicious and appealingly vibrant lighter weight flavors exude evident minerality on the dusty and mildly austere finale where a hint of bitter pit fruit character slowly emerges.

He only has around 4.25 hectares of vines, therefore the quantity that he makes is particularly small. Bourgogne Hautes Côtes de Nuits

Located at the top of the slopes and on the plateau above the celebrated villages of the Cotes de Nuits a dozen or so villages can claim this appellation. Given their altitude full ripeness is not guaranteed every year, so Hautes-Cotes status is only awarded after tasting. Principally reds from Pinot Noir, with a smattering of whites, these wines can be delicious and excellent value from the best vineyard sites.
