Taken from the Latin ‘Caput Arsum’, meaning ‘a place touched by sun’, the history of Caparzo dates back to the dawning of Brunello di Montalcino at the end of the 1960s, when a group of friends with a fondness for Tuscany purchased an old ruin with vineyards at Montalcino.
