  • IN BOND prices exclude UK Duty and VAT. Wines can be purchased In Bond for storage in Private Reserves or another bonded warehouse, or for export to non-EU countries. Duty and VAT must be paid before delivery can take place.

  • RETAIL prices include UK Duty and VAT. Wines for UK delivery can only be purchased this way.

Additional Information

  • Duty Paid wines have been removed from Bond and cannot subsequently be returned to Bond.  VAT is payable on Duty Paid wines. These wines must remain Duty Paid but can be purchased as such for storage subject to VAT.

  • En Primeur wines can only be purchased In Bond. On arrival in the UK these wines can either be stored In Bond in Private Reserves or another bonded warehouse or delivered directly to you. When you decide to take delivery, Duty and VAT at the prevailing rate become payable.

    An absolutely classic nose from this brilliant estate. Unmistakably New World but with strong Burgundian influence, you can’t help but smile when tasting this wine. Wonderfully expressive, with the wealth and ripeness of fruit you’d expect, but with a strong, saline, bracing sea breeze minerality. Juicy pears and apples, with a touch of sliced white peach and white blossom and jasmine, all held together with some deftly handled spicy oak and a strong mineral tension. Wonderful stuff.

This is a cool climate region thanks to the nearby cold South Atlantic and, much like in Burgundy, the soils are extremely rich in iron and clay. This 52 hectares estate seeks to make terroir-driven wines that express the beauty of this privileged site. Head winemaker Emul Ross (formerly of Cape Chamonix in Franschhoek) has converted the estate to organic farming, although they also adhere to biodynamic principles.Read less

Hemel-en-Aarde

The Hemel-en-Aarde Valley is a ward within the Walker Bay district of South Africa. Meaning 'Heaven on Earth', this beautiful valley has the Cape's highest proprtion of Pinot Noir. Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc also flourish here thanks to the cooling influence of the Atalantic to the South and the Babylon mountains to the North. Ancient glacial soils make this region a geological wonder capable of producing hugely complex wines.
