En Primeur | Ch de Meursault

Château de Meursault has gone through some very exciting developments under the direction of Stéphane Follin-Arbelet, whose family themselves own a highly respected domaine in Aloxe Corton. The vineyards under the Château’s ownership cover an extraordinary 65 hectares, from Savigny Lès Beaune through to Meursault. In 2019 the estate was certified as fully organic, quite an achievement for a domaine of this size, covering so many fine appellations. This dynamic domaine is investing extensively in both the vineyards and the winery, reaching new heights in quality.

Found within the commune of Meursault, just a stone’s throw from the appellational limits, this is a direct and fresh style, with its flavours of lemon curd and citrus zest. The mouth filling dry extract character provides structure and weight, giving length and persistence on the finish.

Made up of four different plots, which sit just below the Château, this is the property’s signature wine and is a superb example of Meursault. Golden yellow in colour, with flavours of white peach and quince. A typically broad Meursault generosity fills the mouth with a ripe, creamy intensity. A degree of hedonistic flamboyance makes this a very joyous cuvée.

Made from 3 hectares of estate-owned vines on the upper slopes, this wine has a greater degree of definition and more mineral energy than wines from lower down. An array of yellow stone fruits on the nose: quince, greengage and apricots. A rich unctuous style, with some spicy oak, vanilla and walnut notes on the finish. A total pleasure.

  • Goedhuis Waddesdon, December 2025

This cuvée comes from a single hectare on the boundary of Puligny and so has the pristine purity that you would expect from such a location. This is the liveliest of the Château’s Meursaults in 2024, combining pink grapefruit with riper notes of apricot on the nose. The palate also has verve, with a sherbet-inspired energy that makes it moreishly mouthwatering. Over a few years, the wine will settle and reveal its more composed side. A wine with immense potential.
