En Primeur | Domaine Antoine Jobard

Antoine’s first vintage was back in 1998, when he joined his father before taking over full control of the domaine. During this period the style has evolved; the wines are less reserved than in his father Francois’s time, but they still maintain the domaine hallmark of the ability for great longevity.  His wines always have precision, balance, depth, and long living potential.

  • Goedhuis Waddesdon, December 2025

The Jobard plot within this great Premier Cru is instantly recognisable by its famed cabotte which sits in the middle of his vineyards. He prices it at a Grand Cru level as, in his view, this is where it stands in quality over and above the other cuvées in his cellar. This is flinty and exuberant on the nose, with aromas of white peach and juicy gooseberries. A perfect balance of open richness and a steely core of minerality which is shown to perfection in this vintage.

  • JMO, October 2025, Score: 91-94

Mid lemon and lime. Rather more reserved on the nose, with complex citrus and herbal attributes. A little more tension on the palate, without becoming over wound. Medium bodied with some persistence. Hiding its light under a bushel but I tip this to become more demonstrative with time. Drink from 2029-2035.
