  • RETAIL prices include UK Duty and VAT. Wines for UK delivery can only be purchased this way.

  • Duty Paid wines have been removed from Bond and cannot subsequently be returned to Bond.  VAT is payable on Duty Paid wines. These wines must remain Duty Paid but can be purchased as such for storage subject to VAT.

  • En Primeur wines can only be purchased In Bond. On arrival in the UK these wines can either be stored In Bond in Private Reserves or another bonded warehouse or delivered directly to you. When you decide to take delivery, Duty and VAT at the prevailing rate become payable.

    While perfumed and strikingly complex, this pretty array of red pinot fruit and earth aromas is much more reserved compared to the nose of the Combottes. The pure and refined middle weight flavors are so fine that they border on the delicate and I especially appreciate the silky texture on the firm, lingering and mouth coating finish. This is not overly complex at present but there is sufficient mid-palate concentration that my range offers the benefit of the doubt that it will develop much more in time.Drink: 2022+

Domaine Arlaud Père et Fils

Cyprien Arlaud is at the helm of this excellent domaine that follows organic and biodynamic practices. He is one of the stars of the Côte de Nuits and benefits from an array of brilliant vineyards including prestigious grands crus Charmes-Chambertin, Clos de la Roche, Clos St Denis and Bonnes Mares. His wines have great concentration, depth and longevity.

Charmes Chambertin

Charmes-Chambertin is one of the nine Grand Crus vineyards within the Gevrey Chambertin area. On gentle slopes, sheltered from the elements by woods to the north, gravelly soil forces the vines to work hard. Relatively large for a Grand Cru appellation, it is hard to generalise about the wines. Often intensely perfumed and seductive, Charmes-Chambertin can be approachable earlier than its Grand Crus neighbours.
