    A distinctly floral nose is quite cool and restrained and only grudgingly liberates nuances of ripe red currants that evidence subtle hints of truffle and stone. There is a velvety, indeed even silky mouth feel to the pure and highly energetic flavors that terminate in a moderately austere, clean, linear and explosive finish. This mineral-driven effort possesses a highly sophisticated mouth feel and should age very well for years to come.Drink: 2025+

Ruchottes Chambertin

Ruchottes Chambertin is a red wine AOC and Grand Cru vineyard in Burgundy’s Gevrey Chambertin in the Côte de Nuits. The Ruchottes Chambertin vineyard is situated on the upper slopes on well-draining, stony soil with a thin layer of limestone-rich soil which encourages the vines to grow deep root systems. The resulting wines are fragrant and light in colour but concentrated in flavour.
