Goedhuis, December 2015
This iconic vineyard achieved extraordinary celebrity under Henri Jayer’s management and this superb 2014 from Méo-Camuzet is worthy of his memory. A wine of total balance and harmony, so beautifully complete with charm, purity and a lovely delicate touch of sweetness. The initial red fruit flavours blossom into darker loganberries. This is a stunner.

Neal Martin, December 2015, Score: 94-96
The 2014 Vosne Romanée 1er Cru Cros Parantoux has a really quite wondrous nose that really shows its class. Beautifully defined, very pure, very intense dark berry fruit with a seam of mineralité underneath. The palate is medium-bodied with filigree tannin, a fine seam of acidity, great depth and intensity on the finish that lingers long in the mouth. This is a classy Cros Parantoux, maybe the standout from the domaine this year. Drink 2018-2040

Burghound, January 2016, Score: 93-96
Once again there is enough reduction present to render the nose difficult to assess though there are wisps of spice and floral nuances discernible in the background. Otherwise there is terrific intensity to the sleek and stony medium weight flavors that possess lovely delineation while delivering simply fantastic length on the ultra-serious and moderately austere finale. This wonderfully refined and restrained effort is also going to require extended cellaring. Dont miss 93-96! Drink 2029+

Sarah Marsh, December 2015, Score: 19
As always a slow evolution…longer slower MLF…finished in August. Harvested on the 20th. It is spicy with warm floral notes… Crushed purple velvet up front. (Always an acidic wine pH 3.12 at harvest, which is high for this climat!). There is purple fruit enveloping the palate, while the core is channelled. Lots of structure. This has plenty of freshness and intensity and a vibrancy. Actually this really quite strict on the finish.
Region
Vosne Romanée
The vineyards of the modest village of Vosne Romanée are arguably the most sought after in the Côte d'Or. It is host to excellent Village and Premier Cru wines, but it is its most famous Grand Crusthat truly stand out: Romanée-Conti, La Tâche, Richebourg, Grands Echézeaux, Echézeaux, Romanée St. Vivant and La Romanée as well as Cros Parentoux, a Premier Cru vineyard which attracts Grand Cru attention (and prices). Vosne-Romanée can be remarkably robust and powerful, yet be charming and fleshy giving it one of the most diverse styles of the region.
