The last day incorporated Beaucastel, the most famous of Châteauneuf du Pape domaines.
It was amazing that I did not get lost as usual. I suppose the 4th time around is a charm! A dynamic tour and tasting led by their tour manager Fabrice led to a superb vendangeur lunch.
My last tasting was at Château Unang in the Côtes de Ventoux. The domaine is owned and run by James King, a Scotsman (with an English accent) who has been transforming this property since 2003. A relaxed tasting of their various whites and reds, a leisurely dinner was the perfect finale to a long, palpable week.
