With Michelin stars now shorthand for excellence in dining, it was perhaps only a matter of time before the wine world followed suit.
The Michelin ‘Grapes’ ratings for Bordeaux were unveiled last month, and we couldn’t be more pleased to see a deserved Three Grapes awarded to one of our favourite estates, Château Figeac.
Château Figeac is one of Bordeaux’s great estates. Three gravel ridges and equal parts Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Merlot produce a wine of remarkable structure, freshness and longevity. Petit Figeac is the second wine, made with the same care as the grand vin. More Merlot makes it softer and more approachable - a brilliant introduction to Figeac without the wait or price tag.
