Burghound, January 2010, Score: 92-94
As one would typically expect, this is even more complex with a gorgeously layered and nuanced nose of an impressive array of spice notes and dazzling pure, ripe and dense red and black pinot fruit aromas that precede the mineral-driven yet silkily textured broad-shouldered flavors that are at once powerful yet elegant before culminating in a mouth coating and hugely long finish. This reminds me somewhat of the '07 Amoureuses as it displays ample amounts of inner mouth perfume. Drink: 2018+.

Burghound, January 2011, Score: 96
As one would typically expect, this is even stunningly complex with a gorgeously layered and nuanced nose of an impressive array of spice notes and dazzling pure, ripe and dense red and black pinot fruit aromas that precede the mineral-driven yet silkily textured broad-shouldered flavors that are at once powerful yet elegant before culminating in a mouth coating and hugely long finish. A knock-out by any standard. 2023+.
Region
Le Musigny
Le Musigny is a red Grand Cru vineyard based in Burgundy’s Chambolle Musigny village in the Côte de Nuits. Le Musigny is situated between the scrubland at the top of the slope and the upper section of Clos de Vougeot on well-draining limestone soil. The wines of Le Musigny are some of the best in Burgundy on a par with those of Romanée Conti, La Tâche, Richebourg, Chambertin and Chambertin Clos de Bèze.
