Goedhuis, December 2020
The Latricières vineyard is known for retaining moisture well during the summer months and delivering its best wines in warmer years. This has served it well in 2019. Characterised by an ample silky richness, this is one of the more elegant and ethereal of the Chambertin Grands Crus.

Neal Martin, December 2020, Score: 91-93
The 2019 Latricières-Chambertin Grand Cru has a well-defined bouquet of tertiary black fruit, black olive and a touch of Japanese nori. The palate is medium-bodied and well balanced, delivering crisp tannins that gently grip the mouth. It is conservative, like most Latricières, and almost Morey-like in style, with a lightly peppered finish. It will need 4–5 years in bottle. Drink 2023 - 2038

Jasper Morris MW, October 2020, Score: 93-95
Medium deep red purple, the nose takes coaxing, reticent at first, but there is clearly volume behind. The grapes come across as riper after the range of Savigny 1ers Crus, though there is still no real sign of heat, just a heavier texture. I would love to see this wine in a line up with other Latricières. 3 stars
Region
Latricières Chambertin
Latricières-Chambertin is one of the nine Grands Crus in the Gevrey-Chambertin district on the Côte de Nuits, producing red wine from Pinot Noir. It is located on a gentle slope in the far south of Gevrey-Chambertin next to the Morey-St-Denis border. The vineyard lies on white oolite soils, sheltered from the winds and hail by the woods of the Montagne de la Combe Grisard to the North West. When young these wines are bursting with strawberry and raspberry flavours, as well as violets and gamey undertones. Compared to other Grand Cru Gevrey, Latricières-Chambertin is not ultra-powerful and seems to exude a sublime lacy quality.
