Auction to fund Starlight Fun Centres

Archive

At our Rosé Tasting next week (a few tickets are still available – click here for all the details) there will be a silent auction with some truly fantastic lots including two spectacular trips to France, a dinner in Manicomio’s private room, a tutored tasting of Laurent Perrier champagnes and some wonderful wines.

We are incredibly grateful to all the producers involved for donating such fantastic auction lots. Even if you can’t make it along to the tasting but would like to bid for any of the auction lots, we would be happy to bid on your behalf.

All the proceeds of the auction will be used to buy, we hope, at least two Starlight Fun Centres.

During 2010 Starlight will roll-out a new generation in distraction therapy with the new Starlight Fun Centre. The new Starlight Fun Centre has a completely redesigned body that incorporates the Nintendo Wii and Nintendo Fit Board, four Nintendo DSi consoles, a Blu-ray/DVD player, internet and TV access and a 32-inch flat screen HD TV.

Starlight plans to place a new Starlight Fun Centre on every children’s ward and in every children’s hospice in the UK and it is estimated that each one will create non-stop entertainment and distraction for at least 5,000 children during its lifetime.

Here is the full list of auction lots and starting bids. Call us on 020 7793 7900 to let us know if you wuld like to bid on your behalf.
