Caspar Auchterlonie, wine critic for Imbibe Magazine, has recently reviewed 4 of our white wines. Here are his notes:
Chablis Vincent Mothe 2007
“Lovely, creamy vanilla nose with some apple blossom. Fresh green apple fruit with zingy, lime acidity and an underlying minerality. Rich and quite creamy.”
Vouvray Coteau de la Biche Domaine Pichot 2008
“Nose of honeysuckle and soft citrus fruit with crushed green apples and raised lime acidity. Good structure and quite angular. Fresh finish.”
This wine has been so popular in recent months that we have now moved on to the 2009 vintage, which is currently being shipped and will be available to buy online in a few weeks.
Château Bel Air Perponcher Réserve Bordeaux 2008
“Overt gooseberry and lime aromas with some wet slate. Juicy lime and lemon fruit with raised citrus acidity. Lean and tight with a warm middle and a clean refreshing finish.”
Montagny 1er Cru Vieux Château Jean-Marc Boillot 2007“Classic lemon meringue nose with vanilla notes. Soft peach stone and apple fruit flavours. Rich mouthfeel with a warm round middle. Good tight acidity and a long ripe finish.”
