We have been eagerly awaiting the release of the gorgeous Dom Pérignon Rosé 2004. The Rose is always extra special, as production of this sumptuous champagne is extremely limited.
Chef de Cave Richard Geoffroy says; the nose sings out loud and clear, beginning with fresh, intense red fruit: redcurrants and wild strawberries, complemented by warm notes of ripe hay, blood orange and cocoa. The attack is smooth and embracing, but it is the impression of precision that dominates in the end. The wine’s chiselled integrity, intense and penetrating, is prolonged with the unexpected hint of green citrus that marks the vintage. Richard Geoffroy – July 2014

“Relative to many other recent vintages, the 2004 Dom Pérignon Rosé comes across as quite delicate, feminine and graceful. Floral notes are woven throughout, adding to a very appealing and attractive sense of lift. It will be interesting to see if the 2004 puts on weight in bottle. At the moment, the 2004 is a bit understated, but I will not be surprised if at some point it takes off given the extremely positive way in which the 2004 blanc has developed over the last few years” Antonio Galloni. The exact same score as the phenomenal Dom Pérignon Rose 2002. Everything is here already. Great flowery and fruit. Obvious hints of milk chocolate, nougat, purple roses, raspberry, orange and Granny Smith apples. A tight and classic contexture. Unfortunately, far too many bottles of this adorable beautiful wine will be drunk far too early by night crowds worldwide. Richard Juhlin 93 points, potential 96 points
