The excitement is mounting, with only two days to go until the Rugby World Cup kicks off, but we started a bit early, hosting a Wines of the World Cup tasting with a top City bank last week.
We didn’t manage to have all 20 participants represented; Fuji and Samoa were perhaps unsurprisingly absent, while sadly Scotland’s first vintage was oxidised. However we had a line up of the great and good from the obvious – France, Italy, Argentina, New Zealand, South Africa, Australia, England – and the less obvious – Uruguay and Georgia.
