Ch Batailley 2015 | 94 points, Neal Martin
With a Pauillac sense of power but at a price point that flatters the wallet, the Ch Batailley 2015 is supremely drinkable. This was not lost on Neal Martin when he tried it first in bottle, calling it “supple in the mouth and certainly more approachable than the Batailleys of old. It feels harmonious and poised” awarding it 94 points in 2018. On re-tasting it earlier this week, we were delighted to find it very much in its drinking prime, offering up all the depth, balance and bright fruit that you could want from a 5th Growth Bordeaux. Offered today at £57.50 per bottle all in, this is an affordable classed claret. We also pleased to be able to offer magnums, double magnums and jeroboams.
