Thinking about Christmas in September might feel premature - but a recent parcel of double magnums of Château Lagrange had us planning ahead. Few things are more impressive than a large bottle centre-stage on the table; something that not only whets the palate but invites conversation – and may even be powerful enough to quell any arguments you’ve just had with the in-laws about basting the turkey.

We have selected some of our favourite vintages of the last few decades: 2000, 2005, 2009, 2015 & 2016, which includes some of the greatest Bordeaux has ever known. With prices ranging from £360 to £660 for a 300cl double magnum on your table, that equates to between £90 and £165 per bottle for gloriously mature, impeccably aged red Bordeaux.

Collected direct from the château, these will arrive in good time for the festive period.
