2024 Chassagne Montrachet Jacques Carillon
£290.00 In Bond £369.49 Inc VAT (£61.58 Per Bottle)-
Goedhuis Waddesdon, December 2025
These relatively young vines were planted in 2013 but perform in quality as if they are significantly older. The domaine style for crisp purity shines though, not a rich fat broad Chassagne, but one of racy vibrant citrus fruits with a subtle and long nutty finish.
-
JMO, October 2025, Score: 88-90
Clear pale lemon yellow. The bouquet of the Chassagne is softer and a little more sensual than the Puligny. Plenty of energy on the palate, evidently adequately ripe, attractively balanced. Medium length, the vines are now old enough for this cuvée to show well, albeit with less stuffing than the Puligny. Drink from 2027-2029.

2024 Chassagne Montrachet Ma Vigne de 1955 Bruno Colin
£395.00 In Bond £474.00 Inc VAT (£79.00 Per Bottle)-
Goedhuis Waddesdon, December 2025
Introduced in 2023, these are Bruno’s oldest village vines, planted by his grandfather in 1955. Just 0.03 ha of vines below Criots Bâtard in the lieu dit of En Journoblot. He only makes 600 bottles, and the wine has the volume and generosity of its prestigious Grand Cru neighbour. A beautifully creamy style, with characters of almond paste and brioche, full, weighty and very long.

£465.00 In Bond £558.00 Inc VAT (£93.00 Per Bottle)-
Goedhuis Waddesdon, December 2025
A tiny section of 2 hectares within the more recognised Premier Cru of Morgeot, Bruno’s plot is just ¼ hectare of 70-year-old vines. A creamy nose, with some fresh almond and oaked spice. Full and intense on the palate, with a dry matter, tannic structure. Weighty and self-confident, with a rewarding flavoursome finish of fresh clotted cream and spiced cinnamon bun.
2024 Chassagne Montrachet Bruno Colin
£310.00 In Bond £372.00 Inc VAT (£62.00 Per Bottle)-
Goedhuis Waddesdon, December 2025
Bruno owns 1.7 hectares in 9 different locations with an average age of 65 years, making this a very complete example of village Chassagne Montrachet. Golden lemon-yellow colour, with an array of white peach and nectarine aromatics. A tight earthy structured palate, with lots of substance and the finish lifts with flavours of kumquat and fudge.
2024 Chassagne Montrachet Coffinet-Duvernay
£235.00 In Bond £303.49 Inc VAT (£50.58 Per Bottle)-
Goedhuis Waddesdon, December 2025
The fruit for this excellent cuvée comes from 3 separate plots, one situated near Puligny, a central parcel, and the third by the Premier Cru Champs Gain. A soft easy approachable style, this is a Chassagne to give pleasure in its youth. Almost herbal aromatics, fresh thyme and bay leaf. An easy style, with subtle Chardonnay creaminess and Chassagne texture.

JMO, October 2025, Score: 89-91
A blend of Houillères, Voillenots and some of their Masures. 25% new wood. This is a beautifully balanced yet engagingly lively Chassagne-Montrachet, full of fruit yet without overt opulence. Stays with me on the palate. Drink from 2028-2031.

2024 Chassagne Montrachet 1er Cru Les Chaumées Bruno Colin
£450.00 In Bond £540.00 Inc VAT (£90.00 Per Bottle)-
Goedhuis Waddesdon, December 2025
This Premier Cru is a higher vineyard location in the direction of St Aubin, producing a wine with both power and richness, which tends to be one of Bruno’s earlier maturing Premiers Crus once bottled. Initially a little more citrus than some years and then the florality and subtle creamy nature that is always so apparent in this cuvée evolve and show their colours. Charming with instant appeal.
2024 Chassagne Montrachet 1er Cru La Maltroie Bruno Colin
£465.00 In Bond £558.00 Inc VAT (£93.00 Per Bottle)-
Goedhuis Waddesdon, December 2025
La Maltroie is a Premier Cru that always makes its presence felt, characterised by its breadth and generous fruit. From three different parcels planted between 1952 and 1989. An array of warm exotic summer fruits, quince, tangerine, passion fruit and prickle of lemon sherbet. This is the full Monty, with its creamy generosity, and finish of toasty Crunchy Nut Cornflake. Long and wonderfully indulgent.

Goedhuis Waddesdon, December 2025
Morgeot is the largest Premier Cru in the Côte d’Or at 58 hectares, surpassing even Clos Vougeot (51 hectares). Unsurprisingly therefore, there are a huge variety of styles and quality levels. Coming from 60-year-old vines planted in 1963, Bruno’s parcel is at the forefront of quality for the appellation. A fragrance of Jersey cream and lychee, extensive flavours of freshly baked bread and buttered croissant, this has real substance with its fine weighted texture. Long and classy. (We had the 1990 with Bruno made by his grandfather and it was sensational, still so alive – it keeps!)
2024 Chassagne Montrachet 1er Cru En Remilly Bruno Colin
£625.00 In Bond £750.00 Inc VAT (£125.00 Per Bottle)-
Goedhuis Waddesdon, December 2025
One of Chassagne Montrachet’s flagship Premiers Crus sitting just above Grand Cru Chevalier Montrachet. The higher altitude, rocky location produces a wine with extraordinary intensity and mineral direction. This is a wine which combines charm and grace, with a drive of mineral energy. Such a beautiful cuvée with subtle characters of fresh apricot and pink grapefruit; it is so full of life and zest. Superb.
2024 Chassagne Montrachet 1er Cru Les Vergers Bruno Colin
£450.00 In Bond £540.00 Inc VAT (£90.00 Per Bottle)-
Goedhuis Waddesdon, December 2025
A relatively unknown Premier Cru lying close to St Aubin, Les Vergers always stands out in Bruno’s cellar and is a favourite of ours. An easy-going, accessible style, with charming white floral characteristics, jasmine and narcissus. Soft and silky in the palate and made perfectly complete by its finish of whipped Chantilly cream. Lovely.
2024 Chassagne Montrachet Rouge Champs de Morgeot Domaine Lamy-Pillot
£160.00 In Bond £213.49 Inc VAT (£35.58 Per Bottle)-
Goedhuis Waddesdon, December 2025
Last century Chassagne Montrachet’s reputation was more for red wine than white, and Morgeot held an esteemed position amongst the older vignerons for the quality of its Pinot Noir. Radiant crimson colour, full of Victoria plum, loganberry and dark cherry. A textured wine, with an earthy tannic edge, deep and intense with a lovely, sweet edge on the finish.

Tank sample. ???????Rich and appealing. Lots of focus and intensity. Though very taut even if long. Should come right eventually. Drink 2029-2037

JMO, October 2025, Score: 88-90
A substantial holding of 3ha65 just below 1er Cru Morgeot. Definitely red wine territory. Lively red fresh purple. Glowing and quite a classy pinot, quality raspberry then with some furrier tannins behind. Just ripe, with a decent aftertaste. Drink from 2028-2031.
