A reticent but ultra-fresh nose displays plenty of mineral reduction, floral and citrus scents before dissolving seamlessly into impressively intense and stony middle weight flavors that possess cuts-like-a-knife delineation on the beautifully complex and impeccably well-balanced finish that is shaped by citrus-tinged acidity. This breathtakingly good effort should amply reward extended cellaring and indeed will need at least 6 to 8 years because it is present exceptionally tight. If you can find it, buy it. Drink 2024+

The 2018 Meursault Le Tesson has another very pretty and endearing bouquet with white flower mixed with orange pith and nectarine aromas, a hint of pop corn in the background. The palate is very well balanced with a fine bead of acidity, taut and linear. The saline finish conveys brightness and energy. This is another impressive 2018 from Fichet. Drink 2022-2035

Otherwise there is once again fine richness to the round and plump flavors that possess a bit more volume if much less evident minerality on the already beautifully complex finale. This is also relatively tightly wound and will need at least a few years to develop better depth but in time, this promising effort should be excellent. Drink 2026+ Outstanding Top value

Clear pale colour with a lemon tint. This is a bit more muscular than Chevalières, if less fine. A tiny touch of reduction, some yellow fruit, medium bodied with good length. Today Chevalières is more stylish but this has the chance to refine further in tank.

A slightly riper and notably more elegant nose offers up aromas of citrus peel, white orchard fruits, hazelnut and lovely floral nuances. There is stunningly good intensity to the dense, delineated and lightly mineral-inflected mouth coating medium-bodied flavors that possess palate-staining extract that buffers the moderately firm acidity on the hugely long, indeed explosive and absolutely bone dry finish. This should be spectacular in time though note that plenty of it will be required.Drink: 2020+
