  • Goedhuis, March 2024

From another lieu dit whose vines are 70 years old, the decomposed granite found in this vineyard is sandy and friable, the same soil as you find in Ch Grillet. Fresh orchard fruits, and fragrant white flowers define this 2022 which has a delicately fine texture and intensely mineral palate. The finish is mouthwatering and saline. Gorgeous. Drink 2024-2032.

  • Vinous, October 2023, Score: 94

The 2022 Condrieu Chéry deserves a round of applause. Vinified from just-ripe Viognier grapes harvested on the 24th of August, it dazzles with pronounced intensity of lemon flesh, apricot, white peach, ripe pear, cedar and quince. Banana and melon lend tropical gradations. Despite the fairly warm and dry vintage, the 2022 captures the freshness remarkably well. Landing on a complex finish, this Condrieu is built for the long haul and comes highly recommended. Drink 2024-2033.

  • Goedhuis, March 2024

From the southwest facing granite lieu dit La Côte Bonnette, which is the first parcel in the Condrieu appellation after the border with Côte Rôtie. This cuvée is vinified in 100% stainless steel to ensure maximum expression of the Viognier fruit. This 2022 is full of apricot, nectarine and fleshy white peach flavours wrapped around white flowers, ground almonds and flecks of pineapple. Rich, yet refreshing, it holds its finesse, and the tingling minerality on the finish leaves a lasting freshness. Drink 2024-2030.

  • Goedhuis, March 2024

A fascinating contrast to La Landonne, the Côte Blonde is bursting with more high-toned red fruit and red floral aromas and flavours, thanks to the white limestone and granite soils of this vineyard. This 2022 is mineral and tensile with a more aerial structure thanks to finer tannins. The finish lingers on sweet red and blue fruits, sweet spice and fresh rose. Very elegant. Drink 2028-2038.

  • Vinous, October 2023, Score: 94-96

Using 100% whole-clusters during fermentation, the 2022 Côte-Rôtie Côte Blonde totally shines. Pronounced blackberry, black cherry, raspberry, pencil shavings, cedar and orange blossom nuances race out of the glass. Minty traces complement the complex aromatic profile. The 2022 Côte Blonde hits the palate with striking inner energy and concentration. Firmly built like a skyscraper, it will demand extended time in the cellar once bottled. Drink 2030-2042

  • Decanter, March 2024, Score: 95

Gently fragrant jasmine and rose, very Côte Blonde in terms of aromatics. Soft, velvety mouthfeel with flavours of blackberry, cassis and more rose. Slightly higher alcohol and lower acidity than a typical year, not as tense and upright as some recent vintages, making for a luxurious, rich style of Côte-Rôtie. Four weeks in tank, 18 months in oak, limited new oak, natural yeasts and as many stems as possible. Drink 2026-2038.
