    The 2013 Nuits St Georges 1er Cru Clos de la Marèchale has a bright blackberry and cassis-scented bouquet that seems primal but vivacious. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannin, quite spicy on the entry, very well balanced and classic in style. There is good minerality here with fine precision and length. If Mugnier's top cuvées are beyond your financial means, then this will certainly suffice. Drink 2020-2029. 89-91/100
