  • RETAIL prices include UK Duty and VAT. Wines for UK delivery can only be purchased this way.

  • Duty Paid wines have been removed from Bond and cannot subsequently be returned to Bond.  VAT is payable on Duty Paid wines. These wines must remain Duty Paid but can be purchased as such for storage subject to VAT.

  • En Primeur wines can only be purchased In Bond. On arrival in the UK these wines can either be stored In Bond in Private Reserves or another bonded warehouse or delivered directly to you. When you decide to take delivery, Duty and VAT at the prevailing rate become payable.

The palate is chewy and solid, without finesse or delineation, and aggressive and lacking tension on the finish. This is a rather ham-fisted Premier Cru. Tasted blind at the annual Burgfest tasting.

    Rich, spicy complex, nose of cherries and a discreet layer of oak. Rich and firm and rounded on the palate, this has a compact, muscular tannic structure giving it a robust style with power and persistence.

    Medium deep purple, lighter rim, sensual ripe fruit with some whole bunch minerality. Coffee notes. Good freshness on the palate, some menthol, concentrated dark fruit, really quite complex. Very persistent. Well balanced.

The vineyards of the modest village of Vosne Romanée are arguably the most sought after in the Côte d'Or. It is host to excellent Village and Premier Cru wines, but it is its most famous Grand Crusthat truly stand out: Romanée-Conti, La Tâche, Richebourg, Grands Echézeaux, Echézeaux, Romanée St. Vivant and La Romanée as well as Cros Parentoux, a Premier Cru vineyard which attracts Grand Cru attention (and prices). Vosne-Romanée can be remarkably robust and powerful, yet be charming and fleshy giving it one of the most diverse styles of the region.
