  • Goedhuis, August 2023

This brilliant wine made by Sardinia’s most famous winemaking family and the masterminds behind Sassicaia offers jaw dropping value. High toned red fruits of red cherry and cranberry mix with darker fruited blackberry, plum and cassis. Fresh, rich and juicy with plenty of concentration and some wonderfully firm, well-resolved tannins that will melt away over the next few years, The swirls of violets and fragrant spice are infused with wild rosemary, lavender and sage and there is a wonderful earthy irony complexity so typical of the Carignano grape variety. Beautifully balanced and so inviting already, but with the capacity to age gracefully over the next ten years, this is the perfect wine to have tucked away in your cellar for when you fancy something a bit different. Drink 2024-2030+

  • James Suckling, May 2023, Score: 93

Structured and focused with dark berries, dark cherries, dried herbs, bark and some cloves. Medium to full body with fine, firm tannins. Serious, layered and a bitter chocolate-like, funnelled finish with excellent length. Best after 2024.

  • Wine Spectator, May 2023, Score: 91

An elegant, medium to full-bodied red wine with a dark blend of blackcurrants and black plums that taste fresh and concentrated. With subtle details of star anise, espresso, iron, violets and smoke winding through the fruit like a fragrant rope.
