  • Goedhuis, December 2022

Situated on the northern sector of this great Grand Cru, lying below Cros Parantoux, and an admirable example of this majestic Grand Cru. Cranberry and pomegranate scent, the initial impression is of a wine of extraordinary finesse and grace. As the flavours and weight of textured fruit evolves, it slowly unleashes a powerfully intense core lying beneath. The tannins have a chewy gourmand personality, giving layered breadth. It is immensely persistent on the finish. Stunning.

  • Neal Martin, January 2023, Score: 94-96

The 2021 Richebourg Grand Cru is aged with 50% whole bunches in 80% new oak. There is a touch of reduction on the nose, though despite that this seems impressively defined and focused. The palate is medium-bodied, more expressive with fine-boned tannins, taut and fresh, quite intense (as you would expect from a Richebourg). I appreciate the manner in which it builds and exerts insistent grip and structure on the finish. Serious.

  • Jasper Morris MW, December 2022, Score: 92-96

Paler colour than the Echezeaux with a very expressive nose. 50 whole bunch vinification for both wines. Despite the lighter start there is an enormous weight in the middle, then a gentler finish. Lovely lush strawberry and raspberry fruit with a floral touch. Properly long finish. Drink from 2030-2036.
