  • IN BOND prices exclude UK Duty and VAT. Wines can be purchased In Bond for storage in Private Reserves or another bonded warehouse, or for export to non-EU countries. Duty and VAT must be paid before delivery can take place.

  • RETAIL prices include UK Duty and VAT. Wines for UK delivery can only be purchased this way.

  • Duty Paid wines have been removed from Bond and cannot subsequently be returned to Bond.  VAT is payable on Duty Paid wines. These wines must remain Duty Paid but can be purchased as such for storage subject to VAT.

  • En Primeur wines can only be purchased In Bond. On arrival in the UK these wines can either be stored In Bond in Private Reserves or another bonded warehouse or delivered directly to you. When you decide to take delivery, Duty and VAT at the prevailing rate become payable.

    From wine comes from Pouilly Loché, a village set amongst the rolling limestone hills at the southern tip of the Mâconnais. A perfectionist at heart, Marcel' Couturier’s approach favours low yields, exceptional organic vineyard management and barrel fermentation to produce wines that are impressive not only in concentration but also complexity. This 2022 is a fuller, peaches-and-cream style of Mâconnais with a perfectly balanced lick of freshness which fans of Meursault will love: think of this as a mini-Meursault. Delicious. He produces various appellations, but it was his Macon-Loché that particularly won over our palates. It could give a wine from further north a run for its money. Low yields, exceptional vineyard management and barrel fermentation (since 2006) produce wines that are not only impressive not only in concentration but also complexity. Pouilly-Loché

At the southern tip of the Mâconnais lies Pouilly Loche - one of a group of five villages amid rolling limestone hills producing serious white wines. The neighbouring vilages of Vinzelles and Fuisse also produce distinguished white wines. As in Pouilly Fuisse there is no hierarchy of wines, but the appellation name may be followed by the name of a specific vineyard.
