Pricing

  • IN BOND prices exclude UK Duty and VAT. Wines can be purchased In Bond for storage in Private Reserves or another bonded warehouse, or for export to non-EU countries. Duty and VAT must be paid before delivery can take place.

  • RETAIL prices include UK Duty and VAT. Wines for UK delivery can only be purchased this way.

Additional Information

  • Duty Paid wines have been removed from Bond and cannot subsequently be returned to Bond.  VAT is payable on Duty Paid wines. These wines must remain Duty Paid but can be purchased as such for storage subject to VAT.

  • En Primeur wines can only be purchased In Bond. On arrival in the UK these wines can either be stored In Bond in Private Reserves or another bonded warehouse or delivered directly to you. When you decide to take delivery, Duty and VAT at the prevailing rate become payable.

Domaine Chofflet

Nestled in the heart of Côte Chalonnaise, the small village of Givry is home to some of the region's most revered vineyards. We're thrilled to introduce Domaine Chofflet, our newest Burgundian grower, whose 14-hectare estate focuses exclusively on Givry. Managed by Jonathan Brunot, Domaine Chofflet has been organic since 2008, with a philosophy centred on respect, quality and tradition.

Givry

Givry is located on the Côte Chalonnaise in Burgundy and is the smallest of the four major appellations. It produces mainly red wine, which are generally fruity, well-rounded, age worthy and can have an earthy, animal character. They have more structure and age worthiness than Rully to the far north, but less depth of fruit than neighbouring Mercurey. The most noteworthy Premier Crus include Clos Salomon, Clos du Vernoy, Cellier aux Moines, and Clos Jus.Givry also produces some attractive, fairly full, nutty whites. However these are quite rare and make up only one tenth of production.
