  • RETAIL prices include UK Duty and VAT. Wines for UK delivery can only be purchased this way.

  • Duty Paid wines have been removed from Bond and cannot subsequently be returned to Bond.  VAT is payable on Duty Paid wines. These wines must remain Duty Paid but can be purchased as such for storage subject to VAT.

  • En Primeur wines can only be purchased In Bond. On arrival in the UK these wines can either be stored In Bond in Private Reserves or another bonded warehouse or delivered directly to you. When you decide to take delivery, Duty and VAT at the prevailing rate become payable.

    This too is aromatically fresh, cool and bright with is airy and layered array of various red berries, especially cherry, floral, spice and a suggestion of newly turned earth. The racy and delicious, if not especially dense, flavors do possess a mouthfeel that is finer still, all wrapped in a firmer, serious and youthfully austere finale. Like any good example of Epenots, this should need out to a decade of keeping. Drink 2032+

    Four barrels from 13 ouvrées. Epenots was the Mussy vineyard in the best condition when Antoine took over. More of a magenta colour, with evident weight and some structure on the nose. Good energy with just the right acidity. Fair length. Drink from 2029-2033.

A long popular appellation, Pommard is yet another exclusive red wine area which produces by far the most structured reds of the Côte de Beaune. It extracts rich body and long ageing potential from the limestone/iron-rich clay soil. Some examples can be markedly rustic, yet as time has passed and winemaking know-how has improved, Pommard's wines are becoming softer and more approachable when young. Its vines cover 317 hectares of which over a third are premier cru vineyards. Several have pronounced following and even one, Les Rugiens, is being pushed to become a grand cru.
