  • Goedhuis Waddesdon, December 2025

A centrally located Premier Cru on the lower slopes, characterised by its stony soils, which benefits from an excellent southerly exposure. A beautiful nose of cassis and redcurrant which leads onto red cherry on the palate. Delightful richness and volume on the mid-palate with a real core of powerful finesse. The fruit is balanced by the oak which holds its own and fine tannins create a plush and long finish.

Producer

Domaine Jean-Marc Pavelot

Region

Savigny-lès-Beaune

The picturesque village of Savigny-lès-Beaune, just to the north of Beaune, is a relatively prolific producer in Burgundian terms. Less serious than its neighbours, Pommard and Volnay, these are nonethless delicious wines - perfumed, delicate and elegant. A tiny amount of white is produced.
