Goedhuis Waddesdon, December 2025
The family own a substantial 5 hectares of vines coming from 15 different plots in almost every sector of the appellation, running from northwest of the village down to the boundary of Chorey Lès Beaune, with vines averaging 50 years of age. A bright and energetic expression of pure Pinot Noir. Cherry, red plum and gentle sweet spice create a tightly knitted texture with delicious, sweet fruit. No new oak this year but the old wood has created a lovely round feel.
Region
Savigny-lès-Beaune
The picturesque village of Savigny-lès-Beaune, just to the north of Beaune, is a relatively prolific producer in Burgundian terms. Less serious than its neighbours, Pommard and Volnay, these are nonethless delicious wines - perfumed, delicate and elegant. A tiny amount of white is produced.
